This day could be called THE FEAST OF JESUS WITH THE MUDDY FEET!

I have been to the meandering Jordan River.

When Jesus went there to be baptized by John, he went into its muddy depths.

He went down, so that he might go up.

Just as we who die with Christ shall also rise with him.

Our personal baptisms identified us with Christ.

We were CHRISTENED.

WE TOO ARE TO WALK WITH HIM THROUGH THE MUD OF
DISAPPOINTMENTS, TRAVAILS, AND SET BACKS.

We walk together on a muddy path, not an asphalt freeway.

And so we pray:

Jesus with the muddy feet.
Help us to be as you were
At the last supper:

Servants,
