"Master I want to see!"

The blind man in today's Gospel could be any of us!

Are we not blinded by the barrage of political ads which rush like a deluge to deceive us, persuade us, propogandize us?

And what of the rant?

Yesterday: pipe bombs delivered.

Influenced by the rant?

I think so.

"Take courage! Jesus is calling you!"

Words spoken to the blind man can be applied to us.

Take courage! Get up! Move! Vote!

Things can be better.

And so we pray:

Come Holy Spirit,

in a time of turmoil,

move us toward truth,

for the truth can set us free.

Enliven us.

Inspire us,

for Jesus of Nazareth

is still passing by.
