Thy Kingdom come!

What are we praying for when we say these words?

Today is the Feast of Christ The King.

”The Kingdom Of God” is a central theme in the preaching of Jesus.

it is a mysterious theme.

ultimately it means God’s way of doing things which is above and beyond our’s.

when we think of “King” we may think of burgers!

it is hard to get our minds around the term “king.”

But it is what we pray for when we say the Our Father.

it is a process to come, but not yet. It is full of potential but not big, as small as a mustard seed.

Yet is dynamic and full of promise.

it is God writing straight with crooked lines.

it is paradoxical and slowly emerging.

”Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done.”

it is, but not yet.
