Master, I want to see!

Jesus of Nazareth is pasing by, and like the blind man, we all want to see.

Signt, insight, oversight are all biblical themes.

For too often we do not see.

Or we see what we want to see.

Witness what Fox News sees and CNN sees.

We all possess blinders.

At least the blind man KNEW HE WAS BLIND!

Perhaps thats where we should start with ourselves.

The first Reading relates to all of this;

"Strengthen hands that are feeable.

Make firm knees that are weak."

Here is your God. He comes with vindication..."

"THEN THE EYES OF THE BLIND WILL SEE..."

We are weak. We are feeble.

And so is our understanding.

We do not possess all the answers.

So walk carefuly. Do not strut as though you know you are on the one and only right way.

I just returned from Retreat which is really "time out" to adjust one's sight, to see more clearly lest I get lost in my own illusions.

We all need time outs to adjust our visions.

A good prayer for time outs is:

"Master I want to see!"
