In today’s first reading, Adam passes the buck to Eve.

She made me do it he proclaims.
How often do we make excuses like the old Adam.
We all have a blind side.
We easily judge the offenses of others and ignore our own.

One of the best books I have ever read is "Make Friends With Your Shadow".
I highly recommend it, for it will give you insights
into the darker and hidden parts of your psyche
which too often we choose to ignore.

And so we pray:
Help me to see you in the hidden corners of my soul.
