Hope will nt leave us disappointed!

We live in a winter of discontent.

60% of Amrticans think our President is unfit for the job.

So maybe Advent is a time to fast from bad news.

As the darkness descends, search for the light.

It flickers all around us.

And our Advent faith tells us it shall not be extinguished.

"Stand erect and raise your hands. because your redemption is near at hand!" is the message of today's Gospel.

Let us put on hope as our winter garment.

Faith and love usually get the center stage.

But let/'s give hope the spotlite now

What do you hope for?

What might you expect?

Are better days TOO MUCH to hope for?

Will hope leave  us disappointed?

These are the pertinent questions for this speial time.

And so we pray:

Maranatha!

Come Lord Jesus.

Brighten our path.

Shine in our darkness.

Illumine our minds.

Lift up our hearts.

Maranatha!

Come Lord Jesus, come.
