The Raising of Lazarus

In some sense we ae all like Lazarus: confined, only he was dead, and we are not, so far!

but even though cofined, we can still reach ot to each other through Face Book and phone.

I just watched Bill Gates on TED which I recommend. His foundation iss doing amazing things.

So we need to share the Good News today of Jesus raising Lazarus.

In a recent period of division and acrimony fed by our president, we need to be reminded that we all share the human condition. It looks like Congress has belatedly reached this conclusion and will come up with legislation to deal with the crisis.

"Now a man was ill, Lazarus from Bethany..."

He too shared our human condition.

Illness is and endless in one form or another.

It is dilema for all who share the human condition.

In the midst of it, let us encourage each other for we know that some day this too  will eventually pass.

In the meantime we support one another.

As Henri Amiel once wrote:

"We have little enough time to gladden the hearts of those who travel the way with us!

So make hate to be kind!"
