Today's 2nd Reading is very consoling for these times. Suggest you ponder its consolation.

Wat is behind :"the Mask?"

There are two extreme polarizations.

The Far Left which is Communism...........................and the Far Right, Ayn Rand/Un Bridled Capitalism

 

We are quite familiar with the evils of Communism, but what about the other extreme, Ayn Rad/ Unbridled Capitaism?

I suggest not so much.

The author Ayn Rand is so infuential that Paul Ryan, a devout Catholic, and former Spekaer of the House gave copies of Ayn Rand's  to his entire staff to read!

And what does she preach:

That unbridled greed and the profit motive should be our highest value and we should have unbridled FREEDOM IN THE PURSUIT OF THESE VALUES!

UNBRIDLED FREEDOM!

iT IS NOT TOO FAR A JUMP TO UNDERSTAND WHY TWO MANY ON THE RiGHT WOULD REJECT WEARING MASKS.

They long for unbridled freedom from any restraints on their personal freedom. How such freedom from masks effects their neigbors is not their concern.

At its extreme this amounts to pure selfishness.

And in its extreme is just as anti-Gospel as Communism, the OTHER extreme.
