The Pharisee and theTax CollectorÂ
[Cox Cable is on the blink in case you experience difficulty.]
This parable is familiar to everyone.
As my neighbor Stephanie used to say:
"Do not be hoity toaty."
Or as the nursey rhyme proclaims, "Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall and Humpty Dumpty had a great fall!"
So we pray:
Deliver us from the arrogance
that is the result of overweaning pride.
Jesus meek and humble of heart,
make our hearts like unto thine.
AmenÂ
